West Park is the large residential section at the southwest edge of the City of Cleveland, next to Cleveland Hopkins International Airport. People often use "Puritas" for the blocks around Puritas Avenue and West 150th Street, and "Kamm's Corners" for the older shopping district where Lorain Avenue meets Rocky River Drive. Streets here are mostly lined with single-family houses and driveways rather than large apartment complexes, which is a big reason households looking for a whole house with a yard end up comparing West Park with inner-ring suburbs.
Because it is still inside city limits, renters here get a Cleveland address and city services while living in an area that feels more like a quiet suburb. Most residents drive for at least some errands, but rail and bus options are better than in many outer suburbs, as the notes below explain.
Red Line Rail Stations
RTA's Red Line stops at Puritas, West Park, and Triskett stations. Ride one direction to the airport, or the other to Tower City downtown and on to University Circle.
Next to Hopkins Airport
The airport and the businesses around it are a short trip away, which is handy for anyone who works at or near Hopkins or travels often.
Interstate Access
Interstate 71 runs through the area toward downtown in one direction and the southern suburbs in the other, and I-480 is nearby for east–west trips across the county.
Rocky River Reservation
Cleveland Metroparks' Rocky River Reservation runs along the west edge of the neighborhood, with trails, picnic areas, and river views close to home.
Confirm School Details
Addresses in the City of Cleveland are served by the Cleveland Metropolitan School District. Check assignments with the district using the exact address before you decide.

🔑 Getting Ready for a West Park Opening
Since these homes are leased, openings come up only when a resident moves out. Waitlist members hear about it first. While you wait, pull together your ID, proof of income, and rental history, and read through the application steps so you can respond quickly. We follow Equal Housing Opportunity practices.
